After Stephanie Michelotti planned her first wedding in 2011, for a friend, she fell in love with weddings. In 2019 she officiated her first wedding and discovered her life passion. She, along with two other lovely women, founded Willow Tree Spiritual Arts, in Phoenix Arizona, and a successful officiant and wedding planning adventure began. Changing circumstances in her personal life, caused Stephanie to embrace Spokane as her permanent home. She left Willow tree spiritual arts, and created Your Day Your Way Weddings. A young company in Spokane, but not young in experience. We are still dedicated to the celebration of love.
All of our Officiants are ordained, and in good standing. Your day your way weddings, is an insured business and licensed with the State of Washington.
Yes, this is to protect you, us, and the venue's we partner with. We happily go over your contract, and make sure you have a copy. Good contracts make great ceremonies happen, and we don’t like our couples to have unpleasant surprises.
This is your day, and we want your ceremony your way. You have as much, or as little input as you like. We have beautiful, pre written, civil and spiritual scripts, (that can be altered as needed) for couples who are looking for simplicity, or we can custom build a ceremony, as unique as you desire. An average ceremony lasts fifteen minutes. However, it can be as short as five minutes or as long as forty-five minutes depending on the number of readings, songs, prayers, or rituals. You decide.
Your vows are one of the most important parts of your ceremony. You can write your own vows completely, or let us help you find the perfects words. You can do hybrid vows, which means you have something personal to say to one another, before you take your legal vows. It can be as traditional, modern, civil, or spiritual as you like. Your officiant will discuss your vows and help you choose your preferences.
We do not. Any rituals, (such as a unity sand ceremony, rose ceremony or hand-fasting,) requiring additional materials or set up are the responsibility of the couple getting married, unless agreed upon, in writing, in you contract. We do often provide a small table for items in rituals. Be sure to discuss this with your officiant, or coordinator.
Our attire is based on yours. We check the style of your wedding, and dress accordingly. We wear black unless you request otherwise. We are as casual or formal as you like. We’ve married couples in everything from jeans and T -shirt, to full robes. We even married a couple in a Batman costume.
Your day your way weddings has back up officiants to help make sure your ceremony continues. We have never had to cancel a ceremony.
Our base officiant fee for elopement services is $150.00. Additional packages range between $250.00 and $350.00. Please see officiant packages for more information.
Your officiant is responsible for filing your marriage license. We can also provide you with information on how to acquire your marriage license and the legalities in several states
Your officiant does not send you a certified copy of your license.
We will still perform your ceremony, and then sign you license at another time. We charge $50.00 for this service.Your officiant will recommend you bring your license to your rehearsal, and let them hold on to it. With everything else to do on your big day, it’s one less thing to worry about.
Your ceremony must take place in the state your license has been issued. Our officiants, primarily serve Washington state, and parts of Northern Idaho.
Life happens. So does Mother Nature, and acts of God. We will make every effort to reschedule and accommodate you due to events, caused by the above.
It is unethical for your officiant to marry you if you are obviously intoxicated or high. Some ceremonies involve an alcohol unity toast, which is acceptable, providing the venue has approved it.
Our officiants are not qualified to do Satanic rituals or any ceremonies involving animal sacrifice. We assume, if this is your spiritual path, you already know someone qualified. Our officiants do not perform in the nude,
If the venue allows pets, yes. Please make sure the environment is appropriate for your pet, the venue, and that your guests are safe. Service dogs are always welcome.
We adhere to the Covid-19, requirements and masking, as indicated by Washington state department of health guidelines, or Idaho. Please discuss this with your planner or officiant.
